DESCRIPTION:CLARE LOBSTER CLASSIC Cancelled \nMixed Couples Invitational 2020 \n  \nDear Golfers: \n  \nOn March 23rd. The Chief Medical Officer\, due to the COVID-19 virus\, under section 23 of the Nova Scotia Health Protection Act\, included the closure of golf courses to prevent the spread of the virus for as long as the COVID-19 outbreak\, presents a risk to the public. \n  \nAccording to news reports\, Dr. Strang\, Chief Medical Officer\, has indicated that he expects the COVID-19 outbreak will last\, at least\, 7 to 10 weeks. \n  \nWith this information\, given the events in Nova Scotia\, Canada and around the globe in regard to this virus\, the collective view of the Committee\, the Board and the Management of the Clare Golf and Country Club\, have made the decision to cancel for the year 2020 the Clare Lobster Classic Mixed Invitational Tournament that was schedule to take place on May 16th and 17th 2020. \n  \nFor many of you\, this has been the opening of your golfing year\, and we have appreciated your support for this tournament over the past 32 years.  We will greatly miss having the opportunity to host the tournament this year and hope to see you back next year.
